We will work on our super heroes costumes and capes while playing fun games and activities throughout the week. The last day of camp there will be a super heroes obstacle course to run through and a spirited water balloon fight.

RAG RUGS

Making a Rag Rug is a brilliant way to recycle material into something useful. Campers will learn how to cut an braid rags that will eventually becoming a small rug, perfect for in front of the sink, or under your feet at the side of your bed. Machine washable and simple to repair if your sewing job comes undone. Must be able to thread a needle.

This camp will introduce campers to the basics of stop-motion animation. Using LEGO construction and computer based animation software. Students will create storyboards, take photos, and animate their stories using Frame 6 animation software. Students will take home a workbook with resources on how to create their own animated projects as well as a USB drive containing their camp project.

Ages 5-10 will play improv games like Dude, Look Up, Get on the Bus, Human Clay, Magic Scarf, Dod Show, You Can’t Take Me, MadLib Theater and much more.

 

Ages 11-14 will play improv games like Reeze and Justify, Switch the Hat, Human Clay, Magic Scarf, Dog Show, You Can’t Take Me, MadLib Theater, and more.

 

If students enroll in both Baby/Petsitting Fundamentals and Improv, a supervised snack break will be provided 10:30-11am.

This camp introduces the basics of babysitting and pet sitting,focusing on several important aspects of the job including: child/infant/pet safety, overview of first aid, rights and laws, bag-o-tricks discipline, positive reinforcement, business etiquette, and pay rate. A certificate of completion will be provided on the last day of instruction. Bring a folder and paper and pencil.

FAIRY HABITATS &GNOME HABITATS

Cometo this class where you will not be building just any old Fairy or Gnome Garden, but a living, growing garden. This will be a mystical place where fantasies are born. Your tiny fairy or gnome will have a place to visit, relax, and stay a while, The instructor will provide a glass terrarium, dirt, moss, glass, tiny rocks, tiny furniture and accessories. JAVA SCRIPT AND ELECTROnICS WITH PODPI

Learn how to make robots powered by JavaScript. Students will be introduced to the basics of JavaScript and electronic components from the resistors, LEDs, to servo motors, and sensors. Lessons are based on a NEW comic book series that will engage your child in learning not just the technology, but other fun facts about the components and their function in today’s devices. Each child will bring home an entire PodPi Kit with Arduino board, a bread board, LEDs, sensors, servos, potentiometers, buttons, wires. and magazines with information on further use of the kit.

LITTLE GREEN THUMBS - Ages 4-5

Blossoming minds will love this week! Specially designed for the pre-K or kindergartener, this camp teaches all about the amazing things that happen in the garden. Learn that plants, fruits, and vegetables start from seeds. Explore what they need to grow and survive and where they get those things as we study weather. Discover the role that bugs and butterflies play in making your garden grow.

 

DINO EXPLORERS - Ages 4-5

Do you like dinosaurs? Do you know what they liked to eat and how they lived? In this preschool camp you’ll become a dinosaur expert and go on a dinosaur hunt! You’ll dig for dinosaurs, study their bones, and learn about their food and the places they lived. You’ll see just how the different dinosaurs, big and small, used their bodies to survive in a prehistoric world! When we’re done you’ll know so much about your favorite dinosaur that you might even become one!

 

T-REX TRACKING - Ages 6-12

What would it be like to be dinosaur? What would you eat? Where would you live? Whom would you talk to? Join us on our mission to meet the dinosaurs and learn all about their lives and homes. How did animals that big move? What kinds of problems did they have? Grab a shovel, become a paleontologist (dino expert), and help us go dinosaur hunting. Dig up some bones, study their teeth, make impressions and live in their world. You’ll learn about the environmental, weather, and volcanic challenges that dinosaurs faced and get some clues as to what might have happened to them. Sure they’re old, but never underestimate what something old can tell you!

 

MAD LAB - Ages 6-12

Come to the Mad Lab and go scientifically bonkers with a super cool variety of science topics. In Radical Reactions you’ll create gases, control chemical reactions and even generate power - with chemicals! In Chemical Counting you’ll see awesome chemical magic, build model molecules and electroplate coins! In Cell City you’ll build models of the inner machinery of cells, unravel DNA and break a secret code. In Birds and the Beasts you’ll examine bugs and birds and even what they just ate - yuck! In Organ Trail you’ll learn about the amazing YOU from the inside out - from bones to brains to heart and lungs and more!

PGA Golf Academy is an exciting new camp that makes learning golf skills easy and accessible for all ages. Learn your full swing as well as chipping, pitching, and putting. Terminology, rules and etiquette will be taught. Each camper will be sent home with a PGA Sports Academy booklet. AGC GYMNASTICS CAMP

Children can jump, roll, and cartwheel in this exciting summer camp program led by experienced gymnastics instructors. There will be daily gymnastics instructions along with other activities including crafts and ball play. Students will be divided into groups based on age and ability. Lesson plans vary every day. Children must have turned four prior to camp attendance and must be fully toilet trained. Please pack snacks-no peanuts.
