PGA GOLF CAMP
Adults, here is your chance to get all of your questions about your swing answered by the Northern California PGA’s Player Development Award Winner, Phil Green. This camp is designed for golfers of all levels from aspiring tour pros to those who have never touched a club. During the three day camp players will learn the ball flight laws, secrets tour pros use to control putting distance, how to get the ball airborne off of the ground, greenside and fairway bunker shots, and how to hit the ball straight, with a draw, and with a fade off of the tee. Phil Green has developed some of the best teaching methods in golf with his use of visual aides, special training clubs, and drills which players will take with them for a lifetime.
Open gym or “Lunch League” is reserved for adults to play basketball. There is no fee to play or referees present; we just ask that you be respectful of each other and the ARD staff before, during and after play. Participants who are rough housing and/or using inappropriate language may be asked to leave.
sPRING bOCCE bALL lEAGUE
This eight-week league will feature teams of four facing off once a week. Teams will play in a round robin format, culminating with a one match playoff between the top four finishers. All play will be according to US Bocce Federation Open Rules (available on the ARD website).
mEN’S & WOMEN’S SPRING
sLOW pITCH sOFTBALL
It’s that time again! Spring 2017 ten game league will begin in March. All players must sign their team’s roster or a free agent waiver. Proof of residency will be required for in-district rates. All games are played at the Regional Park Softball Complex. Thursday night leagues fill quickly, so register early. Max 9 Teams per Division.

sPRING pICKLEBALL tOURNAMENT
ARD will host a Spring pickleball doubles tournament. This game is similar to tennis, is fast paced and fun. Participants will be divided by age and gender. Men and Women will play at the same times on Saturday rotating from court to court. Co-ed teams will play on Sunday using the same format. Players must have their own equipment. No registrations will be taken after April 21st. Sorry, no exceptions.
aDULT sENIOR vOLLEYBALL
Men and women age 40 and older are welcome to join this moderate-impact program for players who have played before and want to improve their skills, have fun and play proper volleyball. This is not a beginner program. Players must have moderate experience and be willing and able to play three touch volleyball, according to U.S. Volleyball Association rules. If you haven’t played in a while and are a bit rusty, that’s okay.
sENIOR aDVANCED vOLLEYBALL
Men ages 55 and older, women ages 50 and older are welcome to try out for this advanced volleyball program. Call the Sports Coordinator 530-863-4612 to arrange a try-out. Players must know and play by U.S. Volleyball Association rules and demonstrate offensive and defensive court positioning. Hits must be legal. This program is designed for a faster and higher level of play than the intermediate program. Players must be able to keep the ball in play during 2 on 2, 3 on 3 and 4 on 4 play. Three-touch is required.
50+ pICK-uP bASKETBALL
Open gym for the vintage gym rats. Come join in pick-up basketball on Tuesday nights. Drop in to play at 6:00pm when we choose up teams and rotate play. After the first 1/2 hour of call, if no one or only a few participants arrive the gym will be closed by ARD staff. A great way to break up the week! Call Bill at 916.759.1784 for further information,
aDULT 5X5 bASKETBALL
Get your Air Jordan’s out of the attic and get ready for a full season of 5X5 hoops. All proofs of residency are required at the time of registration or additional fees will apply.
Pickle Ball is one of the fastest growing sports in our area. This net court game uses a light weight paddle and is played on a court approximately 1/4 of the size of a tennis court. This game can be very fast paced or slowed down to exert strategy and patience. We recommend that you check out the rules at www.pickleballcentral.com. Beginner- advanced players are all welcomed. Teams are chosen, drop-in’s welcome (waiver must be completed prior to playing). Loaner paddles are available at each session.
