dOG tRAINING - gROUP OBEDIENCE

Beginner class will encompass the following: heel, sit, down, stay, and come. We will cover polite greeting behavior with visitors, positive Leadership Education, and basic behavioral issues. Vet’s proof of current immunization is required at the first class (Distemper/Parvo, Bordatella and Rabies). All vaccines must be administered at least 2 weeks prior to the first class.

CPR / First Aid

This class teaches adult and infant CPR as well as training with the Automated External Defibrillator. Fee includes the cost of an American Red Cross card good for two years. Learn the basics of First Aid with hands-on classroom experience. Fee includes the cost of an American Red Cross certificate, good for three years. This class qualifies boys and girls for scout merit badges.

Backpacking 101

Are you a day hiker who is considering an overnight backpacking experience? This class is designed for people with little or no backpacking experience. Students will learn about how to use essential backpacking equipment, meal planning, and outdoor safety techniques needed to feel comfortable and safe backpacking for one or more nights.

We’ll glide through introductory skills before cutting our quiet paths across the water and into hidden swamps and channels. All beneath the fascinating light and ghostly shadows of the setting sun and rising moon. We’ll have the stillness of the lake to ourselves but for the sounds of animals and birds settling down at twilight.

Seize the Day and leave your worries and fears behind you. This small group class is the easiest way for anyone to try kayaking. Our stable kayaks and experienced instructors will show you how simple, safe and fun kayaking really is. Did you know that kids and women usually pick it up the quickest? Bring a friend and make a day of it exploring the Lake’s hidden spots and learning the basics of how to be under your own power on the water.
