Mini Triathlon

Grab your friends and challenge yourselves to a mini-triathlon. Start in the pool with a 200 yard swim, folowed by a one mile run in the field by the pool, and finish with a 2 mile bike ride around the school. T-shirts are included for pre-registered participants.

Classic moves and new age moves combined in an age appropriate class. Children will work on individual moves and put them together to form combinations and routines. Please have the children wear comfortable clothing that can be tucked in or is tight to the body.

MODERN LYRICAL

Pre-Ballet

For the little children who love to dance this pre-ballet class will teach the basics of the genre! Beginning techniques, movements and proper French terminology will be implemented. Students will focus on rhythm, posture, flexibility and coordination. Please dress your ballerina in pink tights, black leotard (without a skirt) and pink leather ballet slippers.

The ukulele is a fun instrument to sing and play with! This class will offer students a chance to experience the joy of learning music. We will explore basic chords and strumming patterns through singing and playing together. There will be an introduction to tuning and reading simple music notations.

HOW TO DRAW ANIME

Are you interested in drawing and want to know more about anime and comic drawing? This class will teach a few basic techniques for drawing anime style characters. Students will draw and create their own character and explore creating their own comic book.

YOUTH DEVELOPMENT

BASKETBALL LEAGUE

register nowGrab your basketballand lace up your gym shoes! This is THE youth basketball league in the foothill region. Open to boys andgirls, 2nd to 8th grade, this eight game season features an emphasis on skill development, team work and sportsmanship. We will continue inner-league play with our neighbors Bear River and Georgetown Park Districts.

 

Players register individually and are placed on teams according to their school. Home schooled players will be placed on the team from the school closest to their home. Players may not play on a team from a different school (unless the league combines teams). Information flyers and registration forms will be available at each school, on-line, and at the ARD office on September 1.

Strength is the key to success in any sport. Using gymnastics as a base to help your child gain strength and have fun while doing it. Our safety certified staff teaches bars, trampoline, vault, rings and floor focusing on rolls, handstands, cartwheels and more to beginners. We focus on helping each child to feel successful and encouraged while gaining strength.
