Classic Ballet is a timeless form of dance. This class will teach form, strength, and proper moves in a fun upbeat manner. Please have girls wear black leotards and pink footless tights. Boys please wear white t-shirts and black shorts.

This class offers an introduction to the Guitar. We will work on tuning, strumming, picking and basic chords, along with reading some tablature and simple music notations. Dust off that guitar and come experience the joy of the jam!

BEGINNING UKULELE

The ukulele is a fun instrument to sing and play with! These two sessions will offer students a chance to experience the joy of learning music. We will explore basic chords and strumming patterns through singing and playing together. There will be an introduction to tuning and reading simple music notations.

LITTLE COWPOKES & THE GARDEN

Spend the morning at Healing Pastures and embrace the full ranch and garden experience. Discover the world of horses, chickens, sheep and feed the goats and pigs. Learn that veggies don’t come from the supermarket. Enter the world of organic gardening to learn where your food comes from and pick a vegetable.

KAYAKING FOR 8 TO 14

SAFE, Fun, Educational…Kids love kayaking and most take to it almost instantly. For over 23 years we’ve offered these classes as a great way to harness some of their boundless energy and curiosity. Using equipment specifically designed for kids, it is the Fun, camaraderie, water safety and outdoor education are our primary goals in these personal, small group classes. Kids learn through a variety of games, group activities while exploring for turtles, tadpoles and other critters.

 

Classes are held in the safe, controlled environment of Lake Natomas and special hideaways like “Swampland” and “Berry Pond”. (Juniors get a day on the easy waters of the American River and can add two more days of river fun in our Junior Novice class). Kids leave these classes super excited and return year after year. Classes taught by our professional youth instructors, all equipment is provided.

Strength is the key to success in any sport. Using gymnastics as a base to help your child gain strength and have fun while doing it. Our safety certified staff teaches bars, trampoline, vault, rings and floor focusing on rolls, handstands, cartwheels and more to beginners. We focus on helping each child to feel successful and encouraged while gaining strength.

PITCHING

Get ready for Spring sports and learn from pitching guru Jerry Harris. beginning / Advanced baseball pitching Beginning students will learn the basic pitching mechanics, including pitches: four-seam fastball and changeup. Advanced students will review the basic pitching mechanics, learn advance pitches and pitching strategies. Students need their own catcher.

Beginning students will learn the windmill motion (step style), various pitches including: four-seam fastball, screwball, change up and more. Advanced students will be accepted in this class.
