LEGO CAMPS

register nowThe goals of Play-Well TEKnologies are to develop and enhance your child’s problem solving and critical thinking skills; expose them to concepts and vocabulary of engineering, architecture and physics; provide an opportunity for creativity and testing of ideas with the LEGO building system under the supervision of engineering professionals; and have fun. JEDI ENGINEERING

The Force Awakens in this engineering course for young Jedi! Explore engineering principles with LEGO® materials as we construct the Ewok Village on Endor, fly through space on our X – Wings, and defend the Echo Base on Hoth. Create motorized and architectural projects with imagination and engineering to defeat the Empire!

 

BASH'EM BOTS

Traverse challenges obstacles, battle against fellow bots, and take on Play-Well instructors colossal creations in the battle arena. Customize your chassis to become a minerbot, a juggernaut, or an iron elephant using tens of thousands of Lego parts. Apply real world engineering and physics concepts to help you bash and crash your way to victory.

 

Stem + Minecraft w/Lego Materials (Full Day)

Prepare for a full day Lego camp packed with hands on and minds on STEM fun! First, build projects inspired by cool machines while applying rea;-world concepts in physics, engineering, and architecture. Then, journey into the Minecraft universe to build a Creeper, a lava trap, and a minecart! Engineer and Craft innovative solutions in this full-day themed engineering camp for Lego fanatics

SkyhawkS Sport Camps

Skyhawk sport camps teach the basics and fundamentals of sports. Campers develop skills and gain confidence at these camps.

 

MINI-HAWK CAMP

Baseball, Flag Football and Soccer are taught in a safe, structured environment filled with lots of encouragement and a big focus on fun!

 

BASKETBALL CAMP

This Basketball camp is a fun, skill-intensive program that includes passing, shooting, dribbling, defense and rebounding.

 

MULTI-SPORT CAMP

Skyhawks multi-sport programs (Basketball, Flag Football, and Soccer) are tailored to your child’s age and skill level while teaching life lessons such as respect and teamwork.

 

BEACH VOLLEYBALL CAMP

All aspects of volleyball are taught through drills and exercises that focus on passing, setting, hitting and serving.

Superhero’s and Princesses are amazing!!!  Students will create a costume, decorate a cape, make crowns and much more. Games will be played every day. Please send your child with water and comfortable clothes that they can move in.

KIDS THEATER CAMP

Students will have a blast learning lines to create a story to show family and friends on Friday, June 25 at 1:00pm. Students will audition for a part. Learn a couple of lines. Create a backdrop and other props and make a costume for our show. Please send your child with water and comfortable clothes that they can move in.

SCULPTURE CAMP

Create a sculpture out of clay from start to finish. Learn about different types of clay, scoring techniques, how to manipulate and make changes to it.  Pieces will be glazed with a clear coat and fired for you to pick up at a later date.

FAIRY HABITATS & GNOME HABITATS

Come to this class where you will not be building just any old Fairy or Gnome Garden, but a living, growing garden. This will be a mystical place where fantasies are born. Your tiny fairy or gnome will have a place to visit, relax, and stay a while, The instructor will provide a glass terrarium, dirt, moss, glass, tiny rocks, tiny furniture and accessories. This will be a high-end home for your favorite fairy or gnome.

Want to be a brilliant artist? This exciting mixed media camp will start you on your way. You will build a piece out of clay, cover it with paper mache, and then paint it. Yoga-Art Day Camp

This camp is designed to motivate children to be active, build confidence, and manage the spectrum of emotions that they experience in their day to day lives. The children will get the opportunity to learn yoga poses, meditation, and breathing, using games and music. We do mindful arts and crafts, too!

As a young Mad Scientist you’ll do tons of hands-on experiments with chemicals, rockets, life forms, planes, spy equipment and even your own inventions. CRAZY CHEMWORKS

Get ready to lose your mind in the vast and exciting world of chemistry! This camp is full of reactions, observations, solutions, suspensions, explosions, concoctions, perplexions, digestions, reflections, and Dalmatians (kidding), just to name a few! You will challenge your friends in the labware game, combat evaporation, be amazed at the awesome power of glue technology and trigger some shocking chemical reactions. You’ll snoop out counterfeit money, launch chemical explosions (not TOO big) and learn how and why the chemical world works. So dive into our fantastically fun pool of chemical experimentation! Just don’t mix this one with that one or you might blow up the universe!


MAD LAB

Come to the Mad Lab and go scientifically bonkers with a super cool variety of science topics. In Radical Reactions you’ll create gases, control chemical reactions and even generate power - with chemicals! In Chemical Counting you’ll see awesome chemical magic, build model molecules and electroplate coins! In Cell City you’ll build models of the inner machinery of cells, unravel DNA and break a secret code. In Birds and the Beasts you’ll examine bugs and birds and even what they just ate - yuck! In Organ Trail you’ll learn about the amazing YOU from the inside out - from bones to brains to heart and lungs and more!

At IntelliBricks, we teach everything from Lego Robotics to Digital Drawing to Coding and web development with our signature project-based curriculum, kindling the child’s divergent thinking and creative skills. We at IntelliBricks work hard to ensure that each project is just as fun as it is instructional and challenging, incorporating techniques, background knowledge, and the skills that are key to the subject matter in each and every one of our classes.

 

INTRODUCTION TO DIGITAL DRAWING AND DESIGN

Introduce your child to the field of graphic design while learning Sketchbook, a software used by designers & artists! Sketchbook is a serious digital art tool not to be mistaken for the many simple drawing apps available. Sketchbook features 100s of brushes, a layering system, predictive stroke to clean up shaky lines and countless other tools to help students create incredible art! This classes also teaches the concepts of traditional drawing, while creating digital masterpieces in Sketchbook. WEB DEVELOPMENT WITH HTML, CSS AND JAVASCRIPT

Whether you’re playing games, doing some shopping, or watching silly videos, a website can be a gateway to a world of fun! So being able to make your own is a lucrative, important, and interesting skill! That’s why we’re offering a new Website Development class!

 

This class will give students an introductory level of knowledge in 3 Coding languages; HTML (Hypertext Markup Language), CSS (Cascading Style Sheets), and Javascript, the three coding languages that make up a vast majority of the sites you’ll visit! Knowing these 3 languages will allow you to create websites that can compete even with the most state of art web frameworks, with HTML to build the foundation of the site, CSS to streamline and improve the visual styling, and Javascript to make your site intuitive and interactive for your users!

 

Web design has never been a more important skill, so sign your student up today! Students should bring their own laptops for this class, we will email the setup instructions before the camp.

JR. tennis camp

The ARD tennis program is headed up by the dynamic duo of Tom and Jennifer Isaac, tennis coaches from the legendary Placer High School Tennis Program. Both are USPTS Pro 1 level coaches and bring over fifty years of teaching and playing experience to the courts. Students should wear comfortable clothing, shorts with pockets preferably, and tennis shoes with no black soles. Bring a hat, bottle of cold water, and your tennis racquet if you have one. On the first day we will provide you with a loaner racquet if you need one, and then advise you on what to buy or rent.

AGC GYMNASTICS CAMP

Children can jump, roll, and cartwheel in this exciting summer camp program led by experienced gymnastics instructors. There will be daily gymnastics instructions along with other activities including crafts and ball play. Students will be divided into groups based on age and ability. Lesson plans vary every day. Children must be independent for camp attendance and must be fully toilet trained. Please pack snacks/lunch, no peanuts.
