YOUTH DEVELOPMENT BASKETBALL LEAGUE

This is THE youth basketball league in the foothill region. The eight game season emphasizes skill development, team work and sportsmanship. We’ll have inner-league play with selective register nowgrade divisions with Bear River District. Players are placed on teams according to school. Home schooled players will be placed on teams from their local school. Players may not play on a team from a different school (unless the league combines teams due to low registration). Flyers and registration forms will be available at schools, online, and at ARD on September 1

 

AGE:  Grades 2-8
LOCATION:  Auburn, Loomis, Meadow Vista, Colfax, Weimar, Newcastle and Foothill schools, ARD Gyms, Magnolia, and Northside

REGISTRATION:  Registration 8/2-10/29. Late registration will be waitlisted and accepted on a space available basis only.

POKEMON CLUB

A class that teaches members all things Pokémon including the trading card game (TCG). Each class will feature a new topic/category of the Pokémon universe.

CAREGIVER & ME YOGA

Fun playful yoga class. Designed for the younger Yogis. Introduction to meditation, breathing, and yoga postures. Class includes music, free dance, games, and laughing. Fun quality time with your little one and a chance to be in community.

MIDDLE SCHOOL YOGA

Middle school yoga is designed to meet the needs of your middle school age child. Too young for adult classes and too old for kids’ yoga, this class is just right. Opportunity to learn meditation, breathing and a lot of yoga postures in a relaxed, and fun environment. Give your kids the skillful tools to handle the many emotions they feel.

YOGA-ART DAY CAMP

This camp is designed to motivate children to be active, build confidence, and manage the spectrum of emotions that they experience in their day to day lives. The children will get the opportunity to learn yoga poses, meditation, and breathing, using games and music. We do mindful arts and crafts, too!

LITTLE COWPOKES & THE GARDEN

Spend the morning at Healing Pastures and embrace the full ranch and garden experience. Discover the world of horses, chickens, sheep and feed the goats and pigs.   Learn that veggies don’t come from the supermarket.   Enter the world of organic gardening to  learn where your food comes from and pick a vegetable.

LITTLE LEAPERS

Little Leapers focuses on teaching our classes through developmentally appropriate games designed to teach toddlers foundational soccer skills, while building coordination and confidence.

 

 

SOCCER

This seven-week program is centered around using soccer as a platform to enhance the development of children’s listening, sharing, taking turns, and social skills.  Children will receive custom jerseys.  Parents are encouraged, but not required, to participate.

TINY TOTS (SOCCER-TBALL)

This 8-week program incorporates 4 weeks of soccer PLUS 4 weeks of t-ball just for the littlest ones! Children will learn foundational sports skills in addition to developing gross motor control and vital social-emotional skills such as listening, turn taking, and team work. Children will receive custom jerseys, certificates, and a medal.  Some parent participation is required.

Skyhawk Sports

Skyhawk sport camps teach the basics and fundamentals of sports. Campers develop skills and gain confidence at these camps.

Experience the excitement of football with Skyhawks Flag Football fueled by USA Football. Using a curriculum developed by the experts from USA Football., coaches will teach skills like passing, receiving, kicking and flag pulling.

STEM AND PLAY SOCCER

This program combines strategic STEM-based activities with traditional Skyhawks soccer instruction and a focus on life skills such as teamwork and sportsmanship. STEM sports soccer curriculum gives students the opportunity to get behind the sport they love with modules on soccer ball design, throw-in science, angles and goal-line technology! Participants will also learn the fundamentals of passing, shooting, dribbling, and defense through skill based drills and scrimmages.

Get ready to learn pitching from guru Jerry Harris.

 

BEGINNING / ADVANCED BASEBALL PITCHING

Beginning students will learn the basic pitching mechanics, including pitches: four-seam fastball and changeup. Advanced students will review the basic pitching mechanics, learn advance pitches and pitching strategies. Students need their own catcher.
