Adult & Family Classes

Explore classes and programs, designed for adults! Indulge your creative side while learning to dance, create beautiful art, or improve your knitting skills. In these adult classes, expert instructors will guide your journey as you try new skills or improve those you already have. All adult recreation classes are for ages 18 and older unless otherwise noted. 

Current Adventures

Learn To Kayak

Basic safety and skills instruction followed by a fun, informative guided lake tour.

DANCE IT OUT

BEGINNER LINE DANCING

This class is geared towards the beginner line dancer! No experience needed! We will work through basic steps and counts, put together dances and dance them to music in a fun and friendly environment! Come meet new people, get some exercise, share some laughs and DANCE IT OUT! See you on the dance floor!

DANCE IT OUT

WAKE UP & DANCE IT OUT!

This class is geared towards the line dancer who is ready to move beyond the beginner lessons and be challenged a bit more! We will meet on the second Sunday of each month, and the goal is to learn two dances each time! We will be working through Improver and/or Intermediate line dances (classic & new). The point of this workshop is to be challenged, learn new things, have fun and WAKE UP & DANCE IT OUT!

DANCE IT OUT

INTERMEDIATE LINE DANCE

This class is geared towards the experienced line dancer! We will meet on the first Wednesday of each month, and the goal is to learn two dances each time! We will be working through Intermediate line dances (classic & new). The point of this workshop is to be challenged, learn new things, have fun and DANCE IT OUT!

Faith’s Dog Training

Puppy Socialization

This group class is for younger dogs under the age of 10 months. Learn about appropriate play, greeting, boundaries, jumping and mouthiness as well as other aspects of socialization.

Basic Obedience

Teach your dog to listen with various distractions present with other dogs while learning about sit, down, leash manners and coming when called.

Grounded Strength Yoga

Gentle yet empowering practice. This class is carefully paced, allowing you to connect with your breath, ease into each movement, and discover the joy of cultivating strength at your own pace. The ambiance is relaxed, and the fun music adds an enjoyable element to your practice. This class is great for beginners and seniors that want a little extra challenge.

Create Community Yoga

Restorative Yoga

Not feeling like the best version of You? Restore yourself! Take an hour of quiet time for yourself, relaxing music, and low lights. Each class starts with gentle movements focused on finding a mindful presence of breath and body. We move the body towards longer holds with the support of bolsters and blankets. We spend time seated, on hands and knees, and lying down.

Create Community Yoga

SENIOR YOGA

Step into the uplifting and invigorating world of our Seniors Yoga class – a blend of gentle, yet challenging movements, strength-building exercises, and joyful camaraderie. Designed specifically for seniors who are ready to embrace the benefits of yoga without the confines of a chair. We spend some time on the ground, on hands and knees, standing on two feet and standing on one foot. The soundtrack to our class is filled with lively music, adding a delightful rhythm to your movement

Create Community Yoga

Flow YOGA

A hybrid of vinyasa flow and balance. This class focuses on finding the perfect balance of strength and flexibility in mind and body. This is a great class for beginners and experienced. Life brings a variety of experiences and so does this class. Fun music, fun atmosphere, challenging moments, and many mindful moments too.

SHOTOKAN KARATE

Explore the art of self-defense while cultivating qualities of courtesy, integrity, humility, and self-control. This class, led by dedicated and experienced instructors in a safe environment, empowers you to face adversities with strength and grace. Please come and observe 2 classes before signing up through the ARD website. After 1 month of training, a membership in Shotokan Karate of America will be required ($125/year).

DANCE FIT

A FUN fitness program designed for older adults who are new to dance-style exercise, as well as active seniors

BALANCE AND STRENGTH

This a 50-minute class designed to lengthen, strengthen muscles, and improve your balance.

COUNTRY WESTERN & IRISH LINE DANCING

Let’s keep on learning and dancing this energetic and fun style! Enjoy traditional and new dances, a touch of easy Line dancing, Folk Greek, Celtic and the popular French, La Chapelloise. Step by step, the best exercise, lively music, great atmosphere and new friends. Singles and couples welcomed. Everybody rotates and dances with each other. No previous experience needed.

COUNTRY SWING – BEGINNER

This is a basics class for beginners. Learn the basics in country swing dancing so you can cut a rug on any dance floor. Whether for a fun date night or to learn a new hobby, country swing is fun for all occasions.

TABLE TENNIS

Wednesdays are competitive group round robin play. Fridays are “open” play with no set structure – play with others or bring a friend, we have loaner paddles, balls and tables to use.

Create a lovely piece of artwork in this fun and relaxing class. Using acrylic paints on an 8×10 canvas. There will be more than one option to choose from. Have a sip of wine and enjoy a charcuteries tray while painting.
