Explore classes and programs, designed for adults! Indulge your creative side while learning to dance, create beautiful art, or improve your crochet skills. In these adult classes, expert instructors will guide your journey as you try new skills or improve those you already have. All adult recreation classes are for ages 18 and older unless otherwise noted. 

SENIOR YOGA

Step into the uplifting and invigorating world of our Seniors Yoga class – a blend of gentle, yet challenging movements, strength-building exercises, and joyful camaraderie. Designed specifically for seniors who are ready to embrace the benefits of yoga without the confines of a chair. We spend some time on the ground, on hands and knees, standing on two feet and standing on one foot. The soundtrack to our class is filled with lively music, adding a delightful rhythm to your movement

Grounded Strength Yoga

Gentle yet empowering practice. This class is carefully paced, allowing you to connect with your breath, ease into each movement, and discover the joy of cultivating strength at your own pace. The ambiance is relaxed, and the fun music adds an enjoyable element to your practice.

Restorative Yoga

Not feeling like the best version of You? Restore yourself! Each class starts with gentle movements focused on finding a mindful presence of breath and body. We move the body towards longer holds with the support of bolsters and blankets. We spend time seated, on hands and knees, and lying down.

Flow YOGA

A hybrid of vinyasa flow and balance. This class focuses on finding the perfect balance of strength and flexibility in mind and body. This is a great class for beginners and experienced. Life brings a variety of experiences and so does this class. Fun music, fun atmosphere, challenging moments, and many mindful moments too

DANCE FIT

A FUN fitness program designed for older adults who are new to dance-style exercise, as well as active seniors.

PAINT & SIP

Create beautiful artwork in these fun and simple classes. All while enjoying a glass of wine and a charcuterie tray. An easy step by step class. All paint classes will include all supplies. Instructions will be given for simple designs or you may take it a step further with your own ideas. These are low key classes for fun.

STRETCH AND BALANCE

This a 50-minute class designed to lengthen, strengthen muscles, and improve your balance.

Pottery Wheel Classes

Learn to use the pottery wheel. Your piece will be fired and returned to ARD.

This class is set up for those who wish to learn line dance! Learn the basic line dance steps and beginner dances. You do not need any experience to take this class!

Cooking Classes

With 15+ years teaching cooking classes, Chef Terry Masten will share professional techniques and tips in hands-on and fast-paced classes. Chefs will have fun while learning, guaranteed!<

 
French Twists – Sun 9/15

Making a Croque Madame/Monsieur sandwich, a Tomato Velouté Soup and Profiteroles (homemade cream puffs drizzled with chocolate sauce) will easily become “go to” recipes you can rely upon to impress guests, every time. Be ready for compliments and recipe requests.

Paninis and More – Sun 10/13

Immerse your inner chef making You build Paninis, Italian Garden Soup and Canoli Dip! Local ingredients will be used; you’ll be preparing master recipes and know that guests at your table will want to know your secrets to such wonderful menu additions.

Weeknight Gourmet – Sun 11/17

Cajun Coq au Vin (prepared with a red wine) and a Chocolate Trifle are incredible recipes you can prepare in any season! Each recipe is handsome and definitely worthy of the title “Master recipe”. Compliments are guaranteed from guests, as are recipe requests.

Give It Away! – Sun 12/15

Looking for spectacular food gifts is settled — Whether you make the Holiday Bark, Bacon Jam or Chocolate-Dipped Cathedral Shortbread that you prepare in this class, these recipes are perfect for “just in time” holiday gift giving. The best ingredients mean success. Ribbons and packaging are provided and fun is guaranteed.

Retro Fun – Sun 1/19/25

Chicken ‘N Dumplings and Updated Mac ‘N Cheese scream old fashioned: These two recipes are classics that every guest will love that you have mastered. Each recipe, though, has “twists” to add a little modern touch, so come hungry and ready to have fun.
