Youth Classes

Auburn Rec youth classes introduce kids to new ideas and fun hobbies. Programs for grade schoolers promote independence and responsibility, enhancing their sports abilities, creative skills and encourages them to have social interactions and fun.

LITTLE LEAPERS:

SOCCER

This 8-week program uses soccer as a platform to enhance the development of listening, sharing, taking turns, and social skills. Parents are encouraged to participate. Children will receive custom jerseys, a medal and a certificate.

AGE 2-5

LOCATION This program will be located at Recreation Park in the open field next to the back playground.

LITTLE LEAPERS:

T-BALL & SOCCER

This 8-week program incorporates soccer PLUS t-ball! Children will learn foundational sports skills in addition to developing gross motor and vital social-emotional skills such as listening, turn taking, and teamwork. Children will receive jerseys, certificates, and a metal. Some parent participation is required. Player portraits are available for purchase for an additional charge.

C-Horse Ranch:

LITTLE COWPOKES IN THE GARDEN

Spend the morning at Healing Pastures and embrace the full ranch and garden experience. Discover the world of horses, chickens, sheep and feed the goats and pigs. Enter the world of organic gardening to learn where your food comes from.

HORSE
CAMP

Learn horsemanship, horse body language and all about tack and horses in and out of the arena. In three, 3-hour sessions, you will form a partnership with your horse, play games and have fun.

AUBURN GYMNASTICS:

JUMPING GRASSHOPPERS WITH CAREGIVER

GREEN BUG: Build gross motor skills and friendships in this 45 minute class. Caregivers join in too! Lessons based on 1–3 year old developmental milestones. Parents should stay close for comfort and take on a teaching role alongside the instructor.

FLYING FLUTTERBUGS

RED BUG: Get ready for a delightful and entertaining gymnastics experience designed especially for children 3 years old! Our fun 45 minute gymnastics sessions focus on developing motor skills and fostering friendships in a playful environment. Our lessons are thoughtfully crafted, taking into consideration the milestones typically achieved by 3 years olds ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience.

YOGA-ART DAY CAMP

This camp is designed to motivate children to be active, build confidence, and manage the spectrum of emotions that they experience in their day to day lives. The children will get the opportunity to learn yoga poses, meditation, and breathing, using games and music. We do mindful arts and crafts, too!

YOUTH VOLLEYBALL LEAGUE

Youth Volleyball League

This youth volleyball league provides a fun and supportive environment for young athletes to develop their skills and passion for the sport. With a focus on teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal growth, players compete at various skill levels to improve their game. Whether new to volleyball or looking to enhance their abilities, participants will enjoy a positive experience that encourages both competition and friendship.

BALLET 1

Classic Ballet is a timeless form of dance. This class will teach form, strength, and proper moves in a fun upbeat manner.

Veggie Rolls (no raw fish) and Easy Dumpling Soup are easy recipes you’ll love at first bite.



 

No nuts are ever used in any recipes. Please tie up your hair and wear closed-toe shoes. Safety is always the #1 priority in each class. Each class is two (2) hours of hands-on recipe preparation and demonstration of professional techniques. Every chef goes home with recipes from the class. Substitutions of ingredients may be necessary due to current supply shortages, at times. Dietary issues can be accommodated.
