Discovery Day Camp - Summer Camp

Discover the magic of summer at ARD’s Discovery Day Camp! We create a safe, action-packed environment where kids thrive. Secure your child’s spot for an unforgettable, fun-in-the-sun summer.

Summer Day Camp is filled with projects, games, activities, events, sports, swimming, and creative adventures in a safe, fun environment with well-trained staff and a low camper-to-staff ratio.

REGISTRATION OPENS 4/8/26 at 8 A.M. ONLINE for the 2026 summer

Summer Day Camp Registration is a 3-step process

1. Enroll ($50) in the Day Camp Membership

2. Fill out the required Day Camp Forms (add them to your cart and checkout)

3. Enroll in the Days/Weeks/Months of your choosing

AGES:

For full day care children must be 4 years & 9 months-13 (or finished TK to finished 6th grade)

In the past Discovery was able to offer a summer pre-school program for children ages 3-4. Our Preschool is now closed which means we are no longer able to offer a full day preschool program. If you are interested in a part time program M-TH 9am-12pm and your child will be going into TK or Kindergarten, care will be offered at our Skyridge location. Children must be potty trained.

Recreation Park at 123 Recreation Drive (TK & K in the main building, finished 1st-6th at the Day Camp Modulars)

Skyridge Elementary at 800 Perkins Way

- Full day program for students who have finished TK-6th
- Afternoon Program for students who are enrolled in summer school at Skyridge
- Morning program for students going into TK or K who have not yet completed a year of elementary school. This program is designed to ease new TK and K students into the new school year.

RATES:

Monthly Rate*: $41 per day

Weekly Rate: $45 per day

Daily Rate: $49 per day

When signing up for the monthly option you may opt to enroll in payment plan to be billed weekly for your child’s care.

*please note, that we are not able to credit or refund individual days of the monthly option. 30 days notice required to receive credit for the month session. 14 days notice required to receive a credit.

What to Bring:

WATER BOTTLE: We want to keep the kids hydrated all day and we do not use disposable cups. We recommend you write names on bottle(s) with a sharpie and cover with packing or scotch tape so it does not rub off.
MORNING SNACK: Please pack an extra snack item for your child(ren) to eat during our morning break time. (in addition to their lunch) We have found all students need a little extra nutrition mid morning. We do not provide morning snacks, but we do provide an afternoon snack.
LUNCH: Please provide lunch each day for your child(ren).
SUNSCREEN: Please arrive with sunscreen applied and bring extra for reapplication.

Credits/Refunds:

We are updating our refund and credit policy. This will be voted on by our Board of Directors.
The proposed new policy will state the following: To be eligible for refunds in the form of a check, 30 days notice prior to the first day of the session is required.
To receive a credit, 14 days notice from the first day of the session is required.
If this proposed policy change is approved, it will go into effect April 1st of 2026, therefore applying to Summer Camp for the June – August 2026 season.
In the event this proposed policy is not approved, the old policy will remain in place.

Please note that discounted full time sessions, such as full months, are not eligible for individual days of credit/refund.

Discovery Day Camp offers school year camps during school breaks and some planned school closures.

Cost

The cost to participate is $44 per day. If days are added after the due date there is a $5 per day drop in fee.

How to sign up

Visit our online catalog and log-in or create an account.
Navigate to the Discovery section and select “Discovery School Break Camps”
Enroll in the prerequisite “Discovery Day Camp School Break required FORMS” by adding them to your cart. These are required only once per school year.
Select your days by adding the camp of your choosing to the cart and selecting your days on the daily calendar.
Check-out and save a copy of your receipt.

Camps are subject to closure based on lack of enrollment, power outages, natural disasters, etc..
