Youth Classes

Auburn Rec youth classes introduce kids to new ideas and fun hobbies. Programs for grade schoolers promote independence and responsibility, enhancing their sports abilities, creative skills and encourages them to have social interactions and fun.

C-HORSE RANCH

YOUNG RUSTLERS

Learn horsemanship, body language and all about tack and horses in and out of the arena. From a partnership with your horse, play games,and have fun. Both beginner and intermediate classes available in three-week classes.

HORSE CAMP

Learn horsemanship, horse body language and all about tack and horses in and out of the arena. In three, 3-hour sessions, you will form a partnership with your horse, play games and have fun.

LITTLE COWPOKES IN THE GARDEN

Spend the morning at Healing Pastures and embrace the full ranch and garden experience. Discover the world of horses, chickens, sheep and feed the goats and pigs. Enter the world of organic gardening to learn where your food comes from.

AUBURN GYMNASTICS

GROWING GRASSHOPPERS WITH CAREGIVER

Build gross motor skills and friendships in this 45 minute Class. Caregivers join in too! Lessons based on 1 – 3 year old developmental milestones. Parents should stay close for comfort and take on a teaching role alongside the instructor.

FLYING FLUTTERBUGS

Get ready for a delightful and entertaining gymnastics experience designed especially for children 3 years old! Our fun 45 minute gymnastics sessions focus on developing motor skills and fostering friendships in a playful environment. Our lessons are thoughtfully crafted, taking into consideration the milestones typically achieved by 3 years olds ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience.

ARCHERY AFTER SCHOOL

Our focus is teaching and providing archery in a safe environment. Our indoor range is a great place to relax and start the process of learning archery. We provide USA Archery certified coaches for all our classes.

WIGGLE AND GROOVE BABIES

Are you looking for a gentle, joyful, and developmentally aligned program? This class gives caregivers tools to support early learning while bonding through music, movement, and sensory play. Each week has a different topic and each class has a similar flow for predictability and comfort. You will be given a Spotify playlist to enjoy the weekly songs. Connection moment will also give time for caregivers to connect, communicate and network. We will keep the group to a maximum of 12.

YOGA-ART DAY CAMP

This camp is designed to motivate children to be active, build confidence, and manage the spectrum of emotions that they experience in their day-to-day lives. The children will get the opportunity to learn yoga poses, meditation, and breathing, using games and music. We do mindful arts and crafts, too!

Budding Chefs

AGE 8+

FEE $35 / $30 resident

LOCATION Recreation Park, Kitchen

  • Nuts may be used in recipes. If used, nut usage will be noted.
  • Please tie up your hair and wear closed-toe shoes.
  • Each class is two hours, consists of hands-on and demonstration of recipe preparation.
  • Every chef goes home with recipes from the class.
  • Substitutions of ingredients may be necessary due to current supply shortages.
  • Dietary issues can be accommodated.



Cooking Classes With 15+ years teaching cooking classes to young chefs, Chef Terry Masten will share techniques and tips in hands-on classes.

Cookie Jar

Chocolate-Drizzled Tea Cakes (aka Russian Tea Cakes or Mexican Wedding Cakes) are classics and Elephant Ear Cookies (aka Palmiers) are elegant creations that dazzle guests, guaranteed. Learning these two Master recipes will build confidence and baking skills.

Cruffins are a cross between a croissant and muffin = Perfect! Cinnamon Cruffins are easy as well as lots of fun and Chocolate Chocolate Muffins will put a smile on every chocolate lover you know. Both are Master recipes that everyone loves!

Mini-Chocolate Chip Cookies are a wonderful way to create a gift for someone special and Chocolate-Dipped Cake Pops are dazzling and spectacular. Hot cider will also be served while you put together two dazzling holiday-themed recipes — Both recipes are Master recipes, too.
