Youth Classes

Auburn Rec youth classes introduce kids to new ideas and fun hobbies. Programs for grade schoolers promote independence and responsibility, enhancing their sports abilities, creative skills and encourages them to have social interactions and fun.

AUBURN GYMNASTICS

GROUP FITNESS FOR KIDS

In this one-hour class, get ready to sweat, smile, and get strong! This fun and fast-paced class is designed to build strength, endurance, and confidence through classic circuit-style training. Kids will rotate through stations focusing on core, legs, and arms, combining energizing cardio bursts with bodyweight and strength-based exercises. Every class is a fresh and motivating workout experience!

GROWING GRASSHOPPERS WITH CAREGIVER

These classes are packed with fun as little ones build gross motor skills, explore movement, and make their first friends! Caregivers are part of the action too—supporting, cheering, and guiding through age-appropriate lessons tailored for these ages. Guardians stay close for comfort and connection, stepping into the special role of first teacher with coach guidance!

Get ready for a delightful and entertaining gymnastics experience designed especially for children 3 years old! Our fun class focuses on developing motor skills and fostering friendships in a playful environment. Our lessons are thoughtfully crafted, taking into consideration the milestones typically achieved by 3 years olds ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience.

Adaptive Gymnastics

Move, grow, and shine! This class is designed for children 2–16 of all abilities. These fun classes explore movement, build confidence, and develop new skills—all while having a blast with their caregiver by their side!

Backed by USA Gymnastics, we focus on social skills, balance, coordination, body awareness, and fun! We welcome every child’s unique strength and celebrate progress at every level.

YOGA ART DAY CAMP

This camp is designed to motivate children to be active, build confidence, and manage the spectrum of emotions that they experience in their day-to-day lives. The children will get the opportunity to learn yoga poses, meditation, and breathing, using games and music. We do mindful arts and crafts, too!

FEE  $52 / $45 resident plus $10 material fee paid to instructor on the first day of class.

HORSE CAMP

Learn horsemanship, horse body language and all about tack and horses in and out of the arena. In three, 3-hour sessions, you will for a partnership with your horse, play games and have fun.

YOUNG RUSTLERS

Learn horsemanship, body language and all about tack and horses in and out of the arena. Form a partnership with your horse, play games, and have fun. Both beginner and intermediate classes available in three-week classes.

SPRING BREAK BASKETBALL CAMP

Back by popular demand! This is a post season class for girls and boys to come have fun during Spring Break as they get ready to break for the summer. We focus on the whole player, teaching sportsmanship, and teamwork. We will teach drills that involve playing with teammates, fundamentals, passing, shooting, rebounding and defense. Start your child’s summer off with a slam dunk!

This program uses soccer as a platform to enhance the development of listening, sharing, taking turns, and social skills. Parents are encouraged to participate. Children will receive custom jerseys, a medal and a certificate. Player portraits are available for purchase for an additional charge.

This program incorporates soccer PLUS tball! Children will learn foundational sports skills in addition to developing gross motor and vital social-emotional skills such as listening, turn taking, and teamwork. LITTLE LEAPERS

STAY AND PLAY

Escape the weather to get your wiggles out and connect with other families, while your children play! During this hour and a half open play session, kids play at their own pace exploring sensory activities, music and movement equipment, and testing both their fine and gross motor skills while making friends.

LOCATION Recreation Park, Kitchen

  • Nuts may be used in recipes. If used, nut usage will be noted.
  • Please tie up your hair and wear closed-toe shoes.
  • Each class is two hours, consists of hands-on and demonstration of recipe preparation.
  • Every chef goes home with recipes from the class.
  • Substitutions of ingredients may be necessary due to current supply shortages.
  • Dietary issues can be accommodated.


Cooking Classes

With 15+ years teaching cooking classes to young chefs, Chef Terry Masten will share techniques and tips in hands-on classes.
