ARD hosts Party in the Park at Regional Park on June 21

Traci Newell – Auburn Journal

Kicking off the summer with music and fun, the Auburn Recreation and Parks District is hosting its annual Party in the Park on Friday at Regional Park.

Reggae band One Drop Redemption will play the music of Bob Marley and Peter Tosh. Special guests Bryson Musiq and the Caribbean Soul will also perform.

In addition to the music, the event features a beer garden and food area with everything from pizza to veggie wraps, snow cones to margaritas and more.

The beer garden features brews donated from Auburn Ale House and served by the Rotary Club of Auburn. The food vendors include Maria’s Mexican Tacos, Outlaw Cuisine, Puckerz Lemonade, Carol’s Market, Sweeny’s Weenies, Cousins Maine Lobster, Get Dipped, Kettle King and Tipsy Cheese.

The family friendly celebration includes fun for kids, including face painting, balloon twisters and the biggest collection of inflatables in Northern California. There are small fees for these, but ARD aims to keep the event affordable and fun.

The free event is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. with music beginning at 6 at Regional Park, 3770 Richardson Drive in North Auburn.
