ARD COVID-19 updates

 

 

Here is an updated list of the facilities currently open at the Auburn Area Recreation and Park District:

 

Parks and walking pathways

Disc golf

Outdoor Pickleball

Outdoor Basketball

Tennis

Outdoor Volleyball

Ashley Memorial Dog Park

Auburn Bike Park

Skate Park

Outdoor bathrooms

Ballfields for throwing and catching a ball, frisbee, etc.

Users must adhere to all safety requirements and guidelines,
including physical distancing and same household guidelines
.

Outdoor fitness station

Drinking fountains

Group picnic areas

Pools

Community Centers

 

 

The list of open and closed facilities is based on the Governor’s Executive Order N-33-20, updated on May 1, 2020.

May 20, 2020 - Press Release regarding ARD's Final Budget for FY 20/21, with cuts proposed due to impacts from COVID-19. ARD's Board of Directors is scheduled to discuss and vote on the budget at the Board meeting on May 28, 2020. Members of the public wishing to share their concerns, ideas and comments can participate in the Zoom Board meeting. Comments can also be sent to kmuscott@auburnrec.com before the meeting. May 5, 2020 - The AUBURN UKULELE FESTIVAL and PARTY IN THE PARK have been cancelled. Please refer any questions to mbrunner@auburnrec.com.

May 5, 2020 - The AUBURN SKATE PARK has been reopened. Please keep your social distancing while using the park.

April 16, 2020 - The ASHLEY MEMORIAL DOG PARK is now open. Seating areas are still closed. All users must bring their own sanitizer, water and waste bags. Please keep your social distancing while using the park.

April 10, 2020 - The OVERLOOK PARK PARKING LOT will close on weekends starting tomorrow (Saturday 4/11). This closure will remain in effect until further notice.

The Auburn Area Recreation and Park District (ARD) was established in 1948 and has been providing wonderful parks, recreation and services ever since.

 

We offer a variety of recreational and educational activities for all age groups.ARD’s beautiful parks have an abundance of popular facilities, including Sierra Pool, the Ashley Memorial Dog Park, pickleball courts and dozens of acres of ball fields.These parks also play host to a number of events and activities including Party in the Park, the Auburn Harvest Festival, and the Ain't Necessarily Dead Fest. Additionally, ARD is the premier Auburn area location when planning a birthday party, a family gathering or even a company picnic. Our picnic sites, pools and indoor facilities are affordable and well maintained.
